WALKING
GROUP
The group meets
twice a month, for a healthy walk in the Oxfordshire countryside. In order to
get a variety of views, members are encouraged to select and lead walks. Where
possible, they finish with a visit to a local pub for well-deserved
refreshments. Walking boots are always recommended.

The Group enjoyed their walk through Harcourt Arboretum and were
particularly pleased to be able to get there by bus. They reported that the
bluebells were amazing.
Organising walks during the winter months can be precarious. However,
our Walking Group had luck on their side at their first outing for 2024. They
walked to Wolvercote in perfect winter sunshine and enjoyed lunch at The Plough
Inn.
Happy walkers in winter sunshine The Walking Group had their last walk for 2023 on 24th
November 2023, when twelve members walked along the towpath, finishing with a
lovely lunch at the Plough in Wolvercote. A small, but intrepid, group met on 10th
November and were rewarded by sunshine, a lovely walk and an enjoyable pub
lunch.
